| Roccabianca: the restoration |
|
|
Following
lengthy restoration works the fortress presents to the public
a series of frescoes of the late fifteenth century, in the Lombard
Renaissance style promoted in particular by the court of Ludovico
"Il Moro". The open gallery and the rooms presented
to the public within the environment of "The Arts and the
Courts" circuit represent one of the most important examples,
in the province of Parma, of a decorative style which finds
illustrious predecessors in the works of Bramante and Leonardo
da Vinci, preserved at Milano in the Castello Sforzesco, and
in the convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie.
