| Sala Baganza: the restoration |

The
Sanvitale fortress, following considerable restoration work,
reopens to the public as on one of the most important museums
in the province of Parma. In addition to the eighteenth century
part which can already be visited, it is now also possible to
visit the entire sixteenth century wing of the fortress, with
its sumptous mythological frescoes, carried out by painters
from the Emilian school: Ercole Procaccini, Orazione Samacchini,
Cesare Baglioni and Innocenzio Martini. The cycle bears witness
to the animated court of Giberto IV and Barbara Sanseverino.
