| San Secondo: the restoration |
|
|
Following
lengthy restoration works, some previously unseen rooms
will be opened to the public, the only remaining elements of
a system of routes and military deposits of the fifteenth and
sixteenth century castle-palace. Part of the new exhibition
includes the stable with access to the castle's court of honour
and a fortified passage which, passing through an angular bastion
with cannon slots, permits the new viewing of the sequence of
wallings which allow us to rediscover the different construction
techniques used in Renaissance fortresses.
